Unit block garage sales

Living in an apartment or unit block doesn't have to mean missing out on the Garage Sale Trail fun.

Picture this. You invite residents to grab a picnic blanket, clothing rack or suitcase to display their stuff and use your communal gardens, foyer or other shared space to come together to buy, sell and connect over the Garage Sale Trail weekends on 7-8 & 14-15 November.

Whether you're a tenant looking to make some extra cash and declutter or a property manager wanting to reduce illegal dumping and bring the neighbours together, this hub provides everything you need to get involved.

For unit block residents

Maybe you have a full apartment to declutter or just a few pre-loved gems. Whatever the case, we’ve made it easy to get your building involved, without it becoming a full time job.

Why join the Trail from your unit block?

💰Turn clutter into quick cash: Clear out your wardrobe, balcony or storage cage and pocket some extra money.

📍No driveway? No worries: Host a mini setup in a courtyard or foyer or run a resident-only sale.

📝 Get your strata on side easily: We’ve written the approval emails for you so you can pitch the idea to your property manager or strata in seconds.

👭 Meet your neighbours: Turn your shared spaces into a friendly community market and catch up over pre-loved treasures.

How to get started in three quick steps:

  1. Get approval: Grab our email template to get approval from your property manager or strata committee.
  2. Register your sale for one or multiple days of the Garage Sale Trail weekends, 7-8 & 14-15 November.
  3. Invite the neighbours: Post a flyer in the lift, drop cards in mailboxes or post in your building's Facebook or WhatsApp group. Templates available when you sign up.
  4. Set up & sell: Grab a picnic blanket, clothing rack or small table on event day and start trading!

For landlords, Strata Committees & Property Managers

Nobody likes dealing with a bin room overflowing with unwanted furniture or paying unexpected council fees for kerbside dumping.

Hosting a Garage Sale Trail event in your building is a simple way to tackle bulky waste before it becomes a headache. It gives residents a fun reason to clear out their apartments, keeps common areas clear and brings neighbours together.

What’s in it for you?

💰Cut down on waste cleanup costs: Less furniture and household gear dumped in the bin room or on the kerb means saving money.

🗑️ Clear the clutter in bin rooms: Giving residents a structured way to re-home their stuff prevents bulky items from blocking fire exits, hallways and shared waste areas.

👭 Build a friendlier, happier building: When neighbours get to know each other, they’re more likely to look out for the property, respect shared spaces and stick around for longer.

📝 You don't have to plan an event from scratch: We’ve put together quick approval templates, simple safety guidelines, copy-paste tenant emails and promotional materials so you can set it up in minutes.
